Tribute to Giuditta Pasta
Fourth Edition
From 12 November will be held the fourth edition of the Open Music dedicated to the role of human arts and Giuditta Pasta involving historic and prestigious locations in the provinces of Varese and Como. The artistic program will offer, an overview of the most diverse forms of expression through music, from "classical" music to jazz to ethnic music. From this guideline was created without programming cultural barriers between different kinds, which opens the horizon to the idea of music 360 degrees with the quality of the highest artistic level. The proposed special readings will be characterized by a classic form of arrangements and transcriptions, as well as for the solid classical training of all interpreters. The proposals offer a listening uncommon in repertoires and instrumental ensembles.
Open Music, always dedicated to the figure of Giuditta Pasta, great soprano, but also heroin Risorgimento, especially in the celebration of one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Unification of Italy will pay special attention to this issue of the woman-artist in the Italian Risorgimento.
For the special occasion and involvement for the first time the city of Milan on 22 and 25 November - at 11.30 at the Theatre Amateur Dramatics,CATHEDRAL held two concerts the Ensemble for middle and high schools, offering a guided listening with music, among others, Luigi Boccherini, Niccolo’ Paganini, Giuseppe Mazzini (who was also guitarist).Admission is also open to the public. The event is organized by Cathedral Music Association with the artistic direction of Maestro Roberto Porroni.

OPEN MUSIC 2011 inaugurate the 12 November p.v. at 21 Teatro Sociale of Canzo with a concert by the Quartet composed Afea extraordinary young soloists will present a program focused on the songs of Gershwin and Piazzolla, listen with particular and fascinating.

Saturday 19 November MUSIC OPEN will stop at Saronno Gianetti Villa for a concert for piano four hands, which will star Alessandro Palumbo and Lee Hana Milanov Duo. The two pianists are the winners of the annual edition of the International Prize and Enrica Cremonesi and propose a program which, starting from Impressionism of Debussy and Ravel music comes up to Rachmaninoff. Tuesday 22 November at 21 Varese returns to perform at Villa Recalcati 's Cathedral Ensemble directed by Roberto Porroni confirmed as “small permanent orchestra” Film of the event by offering the program&Musical. Will perform some of the most beautiful pages of movie musicals that have become as successful, da Evita a West Side Story, by Sophisticated Ladies in The Phantom of the Opera, in original reworking for chamber ensemble.
The appointments will begin on Tuesday of the month of December 13 December at 21 in the beautiful setting of Villa del Grumello in Como with a singular tribute to Giuditta Pasta prodigious through the voice of soprano Angelo Manzotti, the "Farinelli" of our day, that brings to life in a personal and unique repertoire includes Rossini songs, Vlach, Meyerbeer, Nicolini,so dear to Giuditta Pasta. The events continue Sunday 18 December at 16 at the Basilica S. Lorenzo in Bellagio with the now usual Christmas concert held by the Ensemble will perform at the Cathedral for an original program that includes rare works from Vivaldi to the '700 Albinoni, da Haendel a Boccherini, for a moment of spirituality in music. Free admission
Tuesday 20 December at 21 program in the Auditorium Verdi Gerenzano Christmas in a special concert jazz quartet will perform in New X consists of graduates of the Civic Jazz Courses in Milan. The group, which debuted at the famous festival I-To, is inspired by the English pianist George Shearing's music that influenced the jazz scene of the early 50. The program includes music by Gershwin, Shearing, Evans, Lennon/McCartney. Free admission
All concerts are free entry until all the seats except for the opening concert of the 12 November.
