As usual, also the artistic programming of Como 2012 will make use of the exhibition spaces of S. Peter Hall, Antonio Ratti cultural space (Former Church of S. Francis), Cloister of St. Euphemia, Broletto, Space Natta and Civic Museums. For the year 2012 the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Como has planned well 30 exhibitions that will protagonists different art forms including painting, sculpture, photo,video art, and different issues, studies on the light urban architecture, the nature of industrial archeology, through multimedia and the iconography of the everyday. Great satisfaction for this new season was the Councillor expressed Gaddi to see that art is an increasingly integral part of the city of Como.

EXHIBITIONS CALENDAR 2012 AS
January:
A S. Peter in the hall, until 22 January, Francesco Murano take us on a journey through the mountains hyperreal, element of the study preferred his figurative works.
Following, by 2 the 19 February S. Peter Hall, the American artist Debra Dolinski will exhibit his photos of large outstretched to capture the essence of natural light in landscapes, simple objects, vision of e muri. His shots are made with natural light and without digital retouching.
February:
-At the same time, by 4 the 26 February, it Space Natta host the exhibition "Matching Exercises" by Noah and Paola Ilaria Bombelli: a private collection of the artist Evelina Bonacina, that for more than forty years faithfully reproduces the backs of postcards received from friends and relatives. With a life behind they become legends ride sharing, fragments of imagined places, voices that speak from a distance.
-From 4 the 19 February the Broletto Bodies will host migrants, (to)Italians rejected dreams integrated,a photographic exhibition on immigration in Italy to tell the story, dreams, the reality of people in the journey that leads them away from their country of origin of human beings lose their identity and become just "bodies". The exhibition, itinerant, is sponsored by the Diocesan Missionary Centre in Como and proposes a series of images of photographers and filmmakers who have set situations, faces of men, women, children who seek a future away from wars, persecution and poverty.
-From '11 February to 25 March the Art Gallery of Palazzo Volpi propose the "Italian NewBrow", by Ivan Quaroni, a collective 16 artists who with their works - paintings, sculptures, installations - return a highly representative cross-section of young Italian art. A plurality of voices and modes of expression that retrieves today's popular iconography – from comic illustration, from graphic design to advertising, music – crossing them with the art of yesterday. Dialogue made it clear from the turning of contemporary works with those of the historical paintings of the Art Gallery. The artists, all ages 25 and 45 years, called to tell such a scenario are: Silvia Argiolas, Diego Cinquegrana, Alice Colombo, Vanni Cuoghi, Paolo De Biasi, Marco Demis, Emiliano Di Mauro, Diego Dutto, Eloisa Gobbo, Maximum Gurnari, Fulvia Mendini, Elena Rapa, Michael Rotondi, Julian Halls, Titian Soro, Giuseppe Veneziano.
March:
-From 3 March, S. Peter Hall will be the first space to host the Italian institutional staff Daniela Gullotta, by Vittoria Coen: the young artist from Bologna, return from London with a solo exhibition at Marlborough Gallery, investigates some of the best known examples of industrial architecture in the region and especially in Milan, reinterpreting the atmosphere on the canvas in order to grasp the suggestions spatial.
-In the near Space Natta, always starting from 3 of months, architecture will be subject to discussion with the photo project "Palaces of Words", in which the artist Nicholas Quirico presents us with buildings from different eras in the ultrasound pictures taken with the filter-books that tell the story.
From 30 March 22 April, it Space Natta will then be registered by the collective Gabriele Perretta But no one ever. Traces of contamination to new media, a project that will involve pragmatic and multilayered national and international artists in an investigation of the contamination that arose in the last decade and the relationships between artistic production and (mass)media, such as video, sound, programming languages, hypertext, qr codes, day, markup, Nanotechnology, social networks and more.
April:
-From 5 the 29 April we know the painting of Antonio Pedretti in the exhibition "Territories of the soul", edited by Claudio Rizzi with an installation-specific Broletto. Pedretti in the works of the acceleration of the synthesis translates the vision in the immediacy of sensation and sign and color, spurred the emotional gestures of a painting, light up a score of suggestion without yielding to the description of the subject. The painting becomes emotional occasion for dialogue and sharing, transforming the territories of the nature of the soul in space.
-From 5 of the month in Antonio Ratti cultural space, Silvano Bulgari will lead us into a multi-sensory and tactile path with her creations inspired by mythology and the nature; proposing the marriage between sculpture and goldsmith shops typical of the Renaissance, combines classicism and modernity. Everything will be accompanied by music and poetry with spoken voices of singer-songwriter Cat Power and actress Daniela Stecconi.
In spring the project will materialize -Antonio Sant’Elia. The work of an excellent citizen of Como made available to the city and the world, which will in Palazzo Volpi the inauguration of a multimedia book for virtual consultation of all the artistic architect Como, in conjunction with the exhibition of the most significant designs of the St. Elias, from the collections of the Civic Museums.
May:
-From 4 the 27 May it Antonio Ratti cultural space will host "imaginary gardens. The phenomenology of pumpkins ", staff Daniela Severi, by Studioarte36. Pumpkins bronze, Golden pumpkins, pumpkins and gourds with silver blue are the protagonists of a microcosm composed of many fairy tales classics attendance. Through them, the artist captures the essence of reality with regard to the spiritual sphere of the soul, which is an integral part of every person.
-From 26 May the photographer Padua Sandra Zagolin at present Space Natta "Il nido dell'Aquila", 70 photographs depicting L'Aquila and province 2 years after the earthquake. The images, places that represent, people, workers, firefighters, are evidence of how the situation, Contrary to what people think, in many cases has remained unchanged.
-From 17 May to 7 June S. Peter Hall will house the staff Mimmo Totaro: The exhibition represents the natural continuation of the sculptural-graphic studies already identified in the two exhibitions held in the Weaving Mantero 2007 and when Villa del Grumello Energheia – MINIARTEXTIL 2011. The exhibition will be presented by Luciano Caramel.
June:
-From 4 the 18 June the painter Fabio Saletta exhibit in Cloister of St. Euphemia his paintings, interpreting the nature of realism, especially through a very delicate and refined brushwork and expressive color research.
-Maggioni Elizabeth exhibit at the Cloister by 23 June 7 July, with the exhibition entitled "The landscape of the soul. Faces and Figures ", result of an introspective expressed through the use of technology in biro.
-As usual the 'Former Church of S. Francis will host, by 5 July 5 September, the exhibition of the Visiting Professor of the Advanced Course in Visual Arts Foundation of Rats, this year Liliana Moro.
-From 30 August 9 September, Villa Olmo host the Twelfth edition of Parolari: this year's theme is "Reading the Future". During the event, 2 days will be devoted to European nations and non-, socio-economic issues facing, political and cultural.
will return each fall as Miniartextil, XXII edition, year for the first time in the prestigious Villa Olmo, that with Brueghel and then Parolari live all year.
-Miniartextil be held by 6 October 18 November: the theme on which artists from around the world have been invited to discuss is "Agora". The Ninth largest art exhibition at Villa Olmo, that will open the 23 and until March 29 July, This year will be dedicated to the extraordinary talent of the dynasty Brueghel, one of the most famous families of Flemish painters who lived between the sixteenth and seventeenth century, over 50 works from some of the most important museums and collections. Also on display is an absolute masterpiece by Hieronymus Bosch, stylistic reference point the work of Pieter Brueghel the Elder.
